The Gold Coast is kicking off the festive season with a summer twist—sand angels style!
Join us on Friday 22 November as the Gold Coast sets out to break the world record for Most People Making Sand Angels Simultaneously. The current record of 1,387 sand angels is held by a city without a stunning ocean beach front like the Gold Coast (Michigan, USA). We know the Gold Coast can beat this record—please spread the word!
The beach will also lend a hand to the bush, with We are Gold Coast and Groundwater Country Music Festival joining forces to support Drought Angels. We’re welcoming gold coin donations on the day to help aid Aussie farmers and rural communities in need.
We’d love you to be part of making history for the Gold Coast. So ‘be an angel’ and come along and register at 6am, with the record attempt scheduled at 6:40am.
Getting to Kurrawa Beach is easy! Catch the G:link to the Broadbeach North station, or if you’re a local, why not walk, ride, scoot or skate to the event. There is also limited street parking available.
There’s more action packed fun to be had this summer, see what else is on at We are Gold Coast website.
