Stihl Timbersports Pro and Rookie Championships

Australia’s world-class professional and rising star STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® athletes will bring the axe-ion to the stage at the high-powered, high octane STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® Pro Championship and Rookie Championship on the Gold Coast’s Kurrawa Park in Broadbeach on Saturday, 17 September 2022.

The STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® Pro and Rookie Championships is proudly supported by the City of Gold Coast, with the free, family-friendly event also featuring food trucks, a bar and live music, making it the perfect way to spend your Saturday.

The Pro Championship will see some of Australia’s most elite woodchopping athletes compete to earn their spot in the Chopperoo team, with the top five athletes from the day claiming their ticket to the 2022 World Championships to be held in Gothenburg, Sweden in October.

Meanwhile, the Rookie Championship will see some of the competition’s rising stars compete for glory with the winner taking the honour of representing Australia at the 2023 Rookie World Championship held in Europe each May/June.
