The Temper Trap Tour The East Coast This November Plus Performing On ADOTG Concert Series

Cool down and hold your temper as ARIA Award winners and multi-platinum chart toppers The Temper Trap come back home this November for a run of Australian shows. The band will play a slew of dates in Melbourne, Sydney and Wollongong.

If reviews from the four-piece’s sold out shows in May are anything to go by, audiences are in for a spectacular live show when The Temper Trap return later this year:

"Mandagi's voice is magnificent and flawless live and the band work together effortlessly and at ease, humbled deeply by the audience's response to their music — indie-rock with depth and soul." – TheMusic

"If you’ve never experienced a Temper Trap live show, I urge you to rectify the situation immediately. These guys were born to be on stage. And if their ridiculously catchy tunes weren’t enough to send the crowd into a frenzy, then their above-par lighting show was sure to do the trick." - Beat

These shows will see the band's first Australian shows since the release of their acclaimed third album - Thick As Thieves which skyrocketed to the top of the ARIA Album Chart upon its debut, the second The Temper Trap album to do so – their platinum-selling self-titled album also sat at the top of the charts in 2012.

The Temper Trap collaborated with outside songwriters for the first time in their history for Thick As Thieves. The album’s lead single ‘Fall Together’ is an instant festival classic with an equally stunning video, directed by the incredibly talented Kris Moyes and filmed on the beautiful Greek Island of Milos. Follow up single ‘Lost’ has also begun filling the airwaves, being picked up by radio stations across the country.

"A monster - highly polished, filled with huge, arm-waving choruses" - Evening Standard

"Epic," shimmering," and "soaring" - we're crumbled to clichés..." - Vice/Noisey

"Songs filled with hope, raw energy and passion" - The Independent

To date, The Temper Trap have sold more than one million albums worldwide and their songs have been streamed over 200 million times on Spotify. Their videos have collected 20 million views on YouTube.

Their breakthrough debut album 'Conditions' made its mark on the charts in their native Australia, their adopted homeland in the United Kingdom, and across the globe. Following suit, The Temper Trap’s self-titled second album spawned Platinum-certified hit ‘Trembling Hands’ and Gold-certified single ‘Need Your Love’.

Impressed by their phenomenal live show, Coldplay, Africa Express and The Rolling Stones asked the quartet to join them on tour. The Temper Trap are currently winding up shows throughout Europe, the United Kingdom and the United States with major festival appearances at Field Day, Secret Garden Party, Reading and Lollapalooza on the schedule before their return to Australia.

The band will be joined on all shows by Tash Sultana while Garbage will join the ride on the Wollongong show. Aside from their homecoming shows, The Temper Trap will also play a series of A Day On The Green (ADOTG) outdoor concerts with Garbage, The Preatures, Tash Sultana and Adalita.

Tickets to The Temper Trap’s homecoming shows earlier this year all flew out the door after going on sale and these November shows are set to be no different. Act quick to secure your tickets to a live show that UK’s The Independent declared “triumphant”!
