They say a picture paints a thousand words, but did you know that you can create a portrait using all kinds of materials?
Come and work with artist Carla Adams as she gets you to work with a variety of lavish treasures and art materials to create a playful self portrait. Translate drawings into mixed media artworks while gaining insight into different shapes, colours and textures that can replicate features of your face.
So, bring forth your artistic side and create a masterpiece to take home.
All art materials are provided for you but please bring along an old shirt/apron to wear to protect your clothes from any accidental marks!
During this workshop, participants will:
Use a variety of materials to create your portrait
Play with shape, colour and texture
Create a playful portrait to take home.
This workshop is presented in partnership with The Lester Prize for Portraiture
