Raekwon & Slick Rick – The Chef and The Ruler Tour

Are you ready for yet another defining moment in the Aussie touring scene? Legendary hip hop stars Raekwon and Slick Rick are joining forces this June for The Chef and The Ruler Tour. They will be stampeding in Sydney and Melbourne for two nights of angst, swag and a showcase of lyrical ingenuity.

Raekwon is touching down in support of his 2017 LP called ‘The Wild’. The tour will also serve as his first visit since 2016. Known as a member of the equally phenomenal rap group Wu-Tang Clan, Raekwon has carved a name of his own in the music scene, having been releasing solo albums since 1995. His album then, ‘Only Built 4 Cuban Linx’, is said to have revived Mafioso Rap, otherwise known as Gangsta Rap which was first popularised in 1980s.

The tour, on the other hand, will see Slick Rick performing on Australian stages for the first time ever. The rapper-producer has been in the music scene for the last three decades and has released four albums. His music has also been sampled so many times by many of today’s music giants.
