Earlier in 2017 the old Islander Resort was purchased by Brisbane heavyweight Katarzyna Group - famous for the uber-successful Cloudland, Empire Hotel and Press Club - and is now being fully redeveloped to launch in 2017 as The Island, the new jewel in the crown of our most beloved summer holiday hotspot.

The island is all about enjoying the good things in life, like eating, drinking and relaxing with family & friends, while staying in a stunning boutique hotel which has everything you look for on a holiday to the Gold Coast. Spectacular fit-outs in true Katarzyna style will create a relaxed, luxe beach house vibe, with multiple dining and drinking options to suit locals and international visitors alike.
